When you sign in, we collect your email address (and, if you use Google sign-in, your basic Google profile such as name and email). When you use the site, we store the hay lots, forage tests, sales, notes, listings, and any contact information you choose to enter.
We use your information only to run the site: to sign you in, save your barn and listings, price your hay, and show your listings to buyers when you choose to publish them. We do not sell your personal information.
Your lots, forage tests, sales history, and notes are private to your account. They become visible to others only for a lot you choose to list on the marketplace, and even then only the listing details you publish (hay information, test scores, state, asking price, and the contact information you enter). Your sales history and private notes are never shown to other users.
Your data is stored in a secure database with row-level security, so each account can only access its own records. We never see or store your password; sign-in is handled by secure email links and Google.
We use Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), and Google (optional sign-in). These providers process data only to make the site work. Public auction and weather data shown on the site comes from public sources such as USDA and the U.S. Drought Monitor.
You can edit or delete your lots and listings at any time. You can remove a listing from the marketplace with one click. To delete your account and its data entirely, contact us using the method shown on the site.
We may update this policy. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
This policy is a plain-language starting point and is not legal advice.
